SmarTel'07 is the First International Workshop on Smart Homes for Tele-Health,
which is organized in conjunction with the IEEE International Conference
on Advanced Information Networking and Applications, AINA?07, Niagara Falls,
Canada, May 21-23, 2007.
** Description **
Due to recent advancement in electronics industry, our homes can be equipped
with smart devices that can monitor a patient's vital signs and other useful
information. The patient information can be locally processed and automatically
transmitted to the relevant health-care staff, or they can be handled locally
in the homes. These smart devices can assist in knowledge extraction and filtering
the unwanted data. The quality of current health care system can be significantly
improved by using these smart devices.

採録されたデモ論文はDASFAA2007の会議録に収録されSpringerから出版されます．
超特急で出版に持ち込むため締切は来年１月５日と大変短いですが，デモ投稿につい

DASFAA 2007 Call for Demonstration
The 12th International Conference on
DATABASE SYSTEMS FOR ADVANCED APPLICATIONS (DASFAA-2007)

DASFAA2007 would like to invite researchers and developers from
academia, industries and government laboratories to present system
demonstrations relevant to the conference topics of DASFAA2007.
Submissions of original demonstration papers, not exceeding 4 pages in
LNCS format, are invited. Accepted demonstration papers will appear
in the DASFAA2007 proceedings, published by Springer Verlag.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
- Demonstration papers should be in English, not exceeding 4 pages,
including all figures. Papers should also include title, authors,
affiliations, contact address, e-mail address, technical novelties of
the system, screen snapshots of the demonstration, and references.
- Demonstration paper submissions must be in a form of camera-ready
paper; there will be no time period for improving demonstration
papers. A submission package should be a zip file (an LNCS
camera-ready submission package) containing both
(1) a PDF file not exceeding four pages, strictly conform to the
formatting instructions of LNCS, Springer at URL:
http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html, and
(2) source file(s) (latex or word) including all figures.
- Paper submissions should be sent by e-mail to
dasfaa2007demo(a)db.soc.i.kyoto-u.ac.jp, no later than January 5, 2007
(firm).
- Demonstration presenters must bring equipments required for demos,
such as laptops, displays, projectors, and screens. Internet
connection in demo rooms is available.
- Each accepted paper needs one author registration. The author
registration fee is USD500. Student authors who register as authors
must pay regular author registration fee (i.e., non-student rate).
- Author registration must be done by January 12, 2007 for your paper
to be published in the proceedings. (Firm deadline)
- When a paper is accepted, an author must send the copyright form,
to the publication chair by January 12, 2007. (Firm deadline)
