Key technologies contributing to the realization of smart connected communities include sensing, IoTs, mobile and pervasive computing, cyber-physical-social systems, big data, machine learning, data analytics, social and cognitive computing. Smart computing help solve a wide variety of societal challenges related to transportation, energy, healthcare, finance, disaster management, and so on. At the core of all such systems and applications, critical issues are security privacy, reliability, resiliency, and robustness. Indeed to boost the development of big data applications in smart computing, data security and data traceability as well as privacy are extremely important. For example, data security such as secure computation with fully homomorphic encryption and data traceability with both proof of storage and attribute-based encryption become indispensable. After successful 1st IEEE International Workshop on Big Data and IoT Security in Smart Computing (IEEE BITS2017) in Hong Kong and 2nd IEEE BTS2018 in Italy, the 3rd workshop, IEEE BITS2019, will be held focussing on theories and implementations on secure computing and secure data management in Cloud/IoT environment. BITS is a full-day workshop that is going to be organized in conjunction with the 5th IEEE International Conference on Smart Computing (SMARTCOMP2019) on 12-15 June, 2019. The topics to be addressed at BITS2019 will include, but not limited to, theoretical or practical aspects of big data and IoT security and privacy in smart computing and cyber-physical systems. Papers describing experience on real prototype implementations are also welcome. Submissions should be targeted to one of the following sub-topics: -Anonymity for big data -Cryptology for big data (Fully Homomorphic Encryption, Proof of Storage, Attribute-based Encryption, etc.) -Computer architecture to speed-up secure computation -Cloud security (Security and privacy policies) -Data traceability for big data -Distributed systems security -Government funded projects in the area of data security and data traceability -Legal study for handling big data -Privacy risk assessment -Secure computation for big data -Secure information flow -Security management -Trust, security, privacy, and data provenance issues in Smart Computing -Security and privacy issues in various smart computing applications such as transportation, energy, environmental, smart city, healthcare, and social media <SUBMISSION GUIDELINES> Paper submissions should be no longer than 6 pages (including references) and formatted according to the IEEE conference template. ※重複して届きました場合はお許しください関連研究者のみなさま， NTTの東中です． IWSDS2019における対話破綻検出チャレンジ4のお知らせです．少し開発期間が短いのですが，多数のご参加をお待ちしております．なお，スポンサーも募集しておりますので，ご興味ありましたら dbdc4-admin(a)googlegroups.com までご連絡いただけますと幸いです．よろしくお願いいたします．＝＝＝ == Call for participation DIALOGUE BREAKDOWN DETECTION CHALLENGE 4 (DBDC4) https://sites.google.com/site/dialoguebreakdowndetection4/ Following the success of DBDC3, we are please to organize DBDC4 as part of the WOCHAT workshop held in Sicily in conjunction with IWSDS2019 (https://iwsds2019.unikore.it/) The task of dialogue breakdown detection is to detect whether the system utterance causes dialogue breakdown (a situation in a dialogue where users cannot proceed with the conversation) in a given dialogue context. The participants of this challenge will develop a dialogue breakdown detector that outputs a dialogue breakdown label (B: breakdown, PB: possible breakdown, or NB:Not a breakdown) and a distribution of these labels. Although we acknowledge that the schedule can be rather tight, we consider DBDC4 to be a perfect opportunity for you to test your dialogue models, especially in terms of contextual understanding and natural human-computer communication. *Schedule: -January 29: Announcement of the challenge -Jan 29-March 28: Registration period Registration can be done at: https://goo.gl/forms/p0av6p6k8d3D0oWB3 -March 29-April 4: Formal run Unlabeled test data released on March 29. Participants submit results as well as draft system description papers by April 4. -April 6: Evaluation results released and acceptance notification for system description papers All accepted system description papers will be presented as posters. The papers will be available online on the WOCHAT website. In addition, high-quality submissions will be considered for inclusion in the post-IWSDS 2019 contributed book. -April 20: System description papers deadline for online proceedings -April 24-26: DBDC4 (on one of the days of IWSDS2019) *Dataset: Registered participants will have access to training and dev data. Evaluation data (unlabeld test data) will be distributed just before the formal run to the registered participants. We will distribute both English and Japanese datasets. A registered participant can submit up to five runs for each language. Prospective registrant can have a look at the datasets of DBDC3, which can be found at https://dbd-challenge.github.io/dbdc3/data/ *Sponsors: We are currently looking for sponsors, who will be able to talk during our special session at IWSDS 2019. In addition, sponsors will be credited in all datasets we distribute and advertised in our WOCHAT website. *Organizers: -Ryuichiro Higashinaka (NTT) -Luis F. 06 Mar '19

日本データベース学会の皆様：熊本大学の有次正義と申します． International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks で， Special Collection on Multi-Sensor Information Fusion という特集号を企画しております． https://journals.sagepub.com/page/dsn/collections/special-issues/multi-senso r-fusion 投稿締切は，２０１９年６月３０日です．ご投稿をよろしくお願いいたします． -- 有次正義（ありつぎまさよし） Sensor Networks Call for Papers: Special Collection on Multi-Sensor Information Fusion To have your paper included, submit by June 30, 2019 Multi-sensor information fusion is the process of combining observations from different sensors for the purpose of improving application or system performance. Information fusion finds broad applications in many areas including wireless sensor networks, fault diagnosis, pattern recognition, risk analysis, image processing, target tracking, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence. However, due to urgent need for real world applications, the paradigm of multi-sensor information fusion requires transferring from a centralised architecture to a decentralised or distributed architecture along with the advancement in sensor and communication technologies. For example, how can the multi-sensor information fusion techniques incorporate multiple time scales in a homogeneous/ distributed sensor environment? The goal of this Special Collection is to report on innovative ideas and solutions for the multi-sensor information fusion studies in terms of theory and emerging applications, including system development, exploitation, and applications. Potential topics include but are not limited to: ● Uncertain information integration ● Fusion estimation and control algorithms ● Possibility theory and other reasoning methods ● Knowledge cognitive based on multi-sensor systems ● Modelling by the big data from multi-sensor systems ● The structure and/or levels of a multi-sensor system ● Multi-sensor information fusion techniques for real-time applications ● Multi-sensor information fusion techniques for distributed applications ● Multi-sensor information fusion techniques for artificial intelligence areas ● Multi-sensor information fusion techniques for practical applications ● Multi-sensor information fusion in the presence of data inconsistency and uncertainty Keywords: Uncertain information integration, Multi-sensor information fusion, Multi-level decision making, Multi-sensor architecture, Distributed information fusion, Remote sensing information processing Deadline for submissions June 30, 2019
