It is not only connected with the joy of eating but also deeply affects various aspects of human life such as health, culinary art, entertainment, and human communication. Cooking at home requires experience and knowledge. They may also need support for food-logging and menu planning for their family health. Needless to say, support for a good and enjoyable meal would improve the quality of life. Systematic cooking/eating support for elderly or physically challenged people is also significantly important. Since a cooking activity requires people to manipulate foods, watch their conditions, listen to the sounds, smell the aromas, and taste it, a cooking assistive system should also be capable of multiple sensitivities. CEA has been aiming to provide an opportunity for such research groups to discover each other, introduce their trials, and discuss their status and where they should go. The research community of CEA is truly interdisciplinary, including health science, domestic science, and cultural science. Even if we limit ourselves to computer science, there are related works in multimedia, human-computer interaction, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence. As the seventh meeting of this workshop series, it aims to provide an opportunity for such research groups to discover each other, introduce their trials, and discuss how it should be and where they should go. We encourage creative and interesting demonstrations with accompanied posters (to your own design) to attract interest to your work for the MDM community. Demonstration paper submissions should have 2-4 pages (IEEE proceedings format) and they should be accompanied by a one page (or less) specification of any infrastructural requirements. Submissions will undergo a peer review process managed by the Demonstration Chairs. The final camera-ready versions of accepted demo papers must be accompanied by a signed copyright form. The Demonstration Chairs will investigate infrastructure needs for the accepted demonstrations, but participants should bring the necessary equipment to the conference with them. Demonstrations will be presented during the demo session at the conference. Research on ubiquitous intelligence is an emerging research field covering many disciplines. A series of grand challenges exist to move from the current level of computing services to the smart world of adaptive and intelligent services. Started in 2005, the series of Ubiquitous Intelligence and Computing (UIC) conferences has been held in Taipei, Nagasaki, Three Gorges (China), Hong Kong, Oslo, Brisbane, Xi'an, Banff, Fukuoka, Vietri sul Mare (Italy) and Ayodya Resort (Bali, Indonesia). It offers a forum for researchers to exchange ideas and experiences in developing intelligent/smart objects, environments and systems. The 12th IEEE International Conference on Ubiquitous Intelligence and Computing (UIC 2015) will be held during August 10-14, 2015, in Beijing China. It will include a highly selective program of technical papers, accompanied by workshops, demos, panel discussions and keynote speeches.
