大会発表募集例年通り，自然言語に関する理論から応用まで幅広い研究発表を募集します．とくに，言語学，教育学，心理学など，日頃「言語処理」とは縁が薄いと感じておられる人文系の研究者の方々からの積極的な発表を期待しています．従来通り，研究発表の形態は口頭発表（質疑応答も含めて20分間程度を予定）とポスター発表のいずれかです．口頭発表とポスター発表は時間帯を分け，両者が重ならないよう考慮する予定です．両種の発表とも，予稿集には最大4ページの論文を掲載する予定です．また，今大会でも言語処理関連分野内にある人文系，理工系，アカデミア，ビジネスなどのコミュニティーを超えた議論を奨励するために，分野横断的テーマセッションを口頭発表の中に設けます．テーマセッションでは，セッションの最後に総合討論の時間を取り，参加者の間でより活発な討論ができるような場を持ちたいと考えています．さらに，チュートリアルや招待講演といった企画もあります．詳細は以下をご覧ください． ◯ テーマセッション１．コーパス日本語学―その期待と可能性新聞データベースの利用からはじまり，近年各種コーパスが整備されつつある． 2011年8月には『現代日本語書き言葉均衡コーパス』（BCCWJ）が完成し，公開された．また，Webページ上には，大量のテキストデータが存在している．コーパスに基づく日本語研究の発表件数は，今，急速に増え，「コーパス日本語学」がまさに確立しつつある．しかしながら，同じく日本語コーパスや日本語テキストを扱いながらも，言語処理研究と言語学をつなぐ議論は少ない．言語学的分析によってコーパスから得られる知見は何か．言語処理に役立つ言語学的知見は何か．言語処理の観点を意識した場で，コーパス日本語学への期待とその可能性を探ることを目的とする．提案者：　柏野和佳子（国立国語研究所）　山崎誠（国立国語研究所）　プラシャント・パルデシ（国立国語研究所）　赤瀬川史朗（Lago 言語研究所）２．文章の作成／校正支援本テーマセッションでは，次のような内容の研究を対象とする（ただし，これだけに限らない）．　・文章中の誤りの検出と訂正　・文章の作成支援　・文章の入力支援　・ライティング学習支援　・非母語話者の文章の分析　・文章の作成／校正支援に役に立つ言語データ従来は，このような内容の研究は，言語処理応用や教育応用などのセッションで個別に発表が行われることが多かった．しかしながら，最近では，関連する発表の件数が増え，今年のACLでも，誤り訂正のセッションが設けられたことから，同テーマの研究が増えたことがうかがえる．従って，本大会においてもテーマセッションを設けることとする．提案者：　永田亮（甲南大学）　小町守（奈良先端科学技術大学院大学）３．災害時における言語情報処理 2011年は，東日本大震災を初め，世界各国が記録的な災害に見舞われる年となった．こうした災害時には，インターネットが重要な情報源となる．しかし，それと同時に多くの情報が飛び交い，人手での整理が困難な場合も多い．本テーマセッションは災害時における言語情報処理技術の役割を見つめ，インターネットなどで溢れる言語情報をいかに整理し，必要としている人に提供するかに関する議論・アイディアの共有を目的とする．災害情報の抽出・提示・信頼性判定，言語情報を用いた災害予測，災害時におけるコミュニケーション支援，地理情報や画像情報等との融合など，災害時の言語情報処理に関するあらゆる課題を対象とする．提案者：　内山将夫（NICT）　グラム・ニュービッグ（京大）　藤田篤（未来大）　村上浩司（楽天）４．Twitterと言語処理2012 2トラックで合計4件（各120分）のチュートリアルを行う予定です．以下の4名の方々を講師としてお迎えします．「大規模言語資源時代の意味談話処理」　乾健太郎氏（東北大学）概要：言語の意味談話レベルの処理にとって最大の障害の一つは「知識のボトルネック」にあった．しかし，大規模コーパスからの多様な知識獲得が実世界スケールでまわり，獲得された知識が研究者間で共有されるようになった今日，そうした大規模言語資源を使ってこれまでより一段深い言語処理にチェレンジする研究が広がりつつある．本講演では，どうすれば多様な大規模知識を使いこなし言語処理の深化に繋げることができるかという，まだほとんどオープンな問いをテーマの中心にすえ，分布から論理まで多様化する意味/知識表現，知識獲得と意味処理の融合など，近年の研究動向を概観する．略歴：東北大学大学院情報科学研究科教授．自然言語処理，知識処理の研究に従事．1995年東京工業大学で博士（工学）取得，同大学助手，九州工業大学，奈良先端科学技術大学院大学助教授を経て，2010年より現職．言語処理学会理事，社会的知能発生学研究会幹事．Computational Award，言語処理学会年次大会最優秀発表賞など受賞．「ネットワークと機械学習」　鹿島久嗣氏（東京大学）概要：機械学習は，データの中に隠された知見を発見し，そして将来に何が起こるのかを予測するためのデータ分析技術であり，自然言語処理をはじめとする数多くの分野において成功を収めてきた．従来，機械学習による分析の興味の対象は，個々のデータそれぞれのもつ性質であったが，近年その興味は，ソーシャルネットワークにおけるユーザー同士の関係や，オンラインショッピングサイトにおける顧客と商品の関係に代表されるデータ間の関係，すなわちネットワーク構造へと移行しつつある．そこで本チュートリアルでは，近年目覚ましい発展を遂げているネットワーク構造を対象とした分析手法の研究動向について概観する．略歴：1999年京都大学工学研究科応用システム科学専攻修士課程修了．2007年京都大学情報学研究科知能情報学専攻博士課程修了．博士（情報学）．1999年から2009年まで日本アイ・ビー・エム（株）東京基礎研究所に勤務．2009年より東京大学情報理工学系研究科数理情報学専攻准教授．機械学習，データマイニングの研究に従事．「『現代日本語書き言葉均衡コーパス』による日本語研究の展開」　山崎誠氏（国立国語研究所）概要：2011年に完成した「現代日本語書き言葉均衡コーパス」（略称，BCCWJ）は，日本で初めての本格的な大規模均衡コーパスである．本発表ではBCCWJがどのように構築されたかを具体的に紹介するとともに，BCCWJの特徴を踏まえて日本語研究が今後どのように進展していくか，その展望を述べる．BCCWJの特徴としてアノテーションの充実が挙げられる．例えば，２種類の言語単位による形態素解析が施されている．用例収集や基本語彙の分析に適した短単位と，特徴語を反映し構文的な機能の分析に適した長単位の２つである．また，文書構造を表すタグも施されており，見出しや本文，引用，注記などの要素を指定した処理が可能になっている．さらに，書誌情報としてそれぞれのサブコーパスに応じたカテゴリの情報（書籍で言えば日本十進分類法の情報）や著者の属性（性別，生年代）なども付与されている．なお，BCCWJは解析精度が全体で約98％であり，エラーも含まれている．そのような利用に当たっての注意点やデータの限界についても言及する．人文系の日本語研究でもコーパスの利用は普及しつつあり，今後は研究手法の洗練化，ツール類の充実が望まれる．言語処理の研究者とのコラボレーションが真に必要な段階になってきたと言えよう．略歴：1980年埼玉大学教養学部卒．1984年筑波大学大学院文藝・言語研究科中退．文学修士．現在，大学共同利用機関法人人間文化研究機構国立国語研究所言語資源研究系准教授．1984年以降，国立国語研究所で語彙調査，シソーラス（『分類語彙表増補改訂版』）の編纂，コーパス（現代日本語書き言葉均衡コーパス）の構築に携わる．専門は計量日本語学．著書に，『言語研究のための統計入門』（共編著，くろしお出版，2010），『複合辞研究の現在』（共編著，和泉書院，2006）等．「統計的機械翻訳の最先端」　渡辺太郎氏（NICT）概要：近年，機械翻訳は統計的手法を取り入れ，機械学習や構文解析などの基礎的な分野の成果を直接導入することにより，飛躍的に性能が向上した．本チュートリアルでは，この統計的機械翻訳の最新のトピックを中心に解説する．まず基礎的な単語や句に基づく統計的機械翻訳の復習し，木構造に基づく機械翻訳を説明．また教師有/無の学習法の活用について解説する．略歴：1994年京都大学工学部情報工学科卒業．1997年京都大学工学研究科情報工学専攻修士課程修了．2000年Language Apologies for crossposting -------------------- CALL FOR PAPERS ----------------- The 2nd IEEE Internacional Workshop of Smart Communication Protocols and Algorithms (IEEE SCPA 2012 - Summer) June 10-15, 2012, Ottawa, CANADA In conjunction with IEEE ICC 2012 http://scpa.it.ubi.pt/2012 Selected papers will be invited to the Special Issue on Smart Protocols and Algorithms of the International Journal Network Protocols and Algorithms (ISSN 1943-3581) Communication protocols and algorithms are needed to communicate network devices and exchange data between them. The appearance of new technologies usually comes with a protocol procedure and communication rules that allows data communication while taking profit of this new technology. Recent advances in hardware and communication mediums allow proposing new rules, conventions and data structures which could be used by network devices to communicate across the network. Moreover, devices with higher processing capacity let us include more complex algorithms that can be used by the network device to enhance the communication procedure. Smart communication protocols and algorithms make use of several methods and techniques (such as machine learning techniques, decision making techniques, knowledge representation, network management, network optimization, problem solution techniques, and so on), to communicate the network devices to transfer data between them. They can be used to perceive the network conditions, or the user behavior, in order to dynamically plan, adapt, decide, take the appropriate actions, and learn from the consequences of its actions. The algorithms can make use of the information gathered from the protocol in order to sense the environment, plan actions according to the input, take consciousness of what is happening in the environment, and take the appropriate decisions using a reasoning engine. Goals such as decide which scenario fits best its end-to-end purpose, or environment prediction, can be achieved with smart protocols and algorithms. Moreover, they could learn from the past and ! use this knowledge to improve futur e decisions. In this workshop, researchers are encouraged to submit papers focused on the design, development, analysis or optimization of smart communication protocols or algorithms at any communication layer. Algorithms and protocols based on artificial intelligence techniques for network management, network monitoring, quality of service enhancement, performance optimization and network secure are included in the workshop. We welcome technical papers presenting analytical research, simulations, practical results, position papers addressing the pros and cons of specific proposals, and papers addressing the key problems and solutions. The topics suggested by the conference can be discussed in term of concepts, state of the art, standards, deployments, implementations, running experiments and applications. 安西祐一郎先生ご退職記念講演会のご案内

日本データベース学会の皆さま筑波大学の天笠です． 2011年度の宇宙科学情報解析シンポジウムが，2012年2月15日に開催されます．関連分野での成果をお持ちの方はぜひ発表をご検討ください．また聴講での参加も歓迎しております．よろしくお願いいたします．天笠俊之 ______________________________________________________________________ 2011（平成23）年度宇宙科学情報解析シンポジウム開催のお知らせ近年、宇宙科学における様々な分野において、観測装置と計算機の大型化によって、以前に比べて飛躍的に大量のデータを取得することが可能になってきています。そのために、観測から科学的成果を産出するにあたって、大規模データをいかに効率良く処理・解析し必要な情報を引き出すかが、新たな技術課題となりつつあります。また、デジタル技術の普及に伴い、デジタルプラネタリウムや様々なアプリケーションに代表されるように、宇宙観測データが科学研究以外の分野でも広く利用されるようになってきています。そこで、本シンポジウムでは、宇宙科学データ（シミュレーションデータを含む）に関する新しい処理、解析、利用の手法、データベース技術やそれを応用したシステムの構築技術、運用技術など、宇宙科学、情報科学、情報技術にまたがる研究開発をテーマとした発表を広く募集します。普段はなかなか接する機会のない、周辺領域の研究者、技術者の間で、深く掘り下げた情報交換や活発な議論を期待しています。なお、シンポジウムの収録は査読付きの「宇宙科学情報解析論文誌」（英語名:Journal of Space Science Informatics Japan）として、 JAXAから出版予定です。冊子として発行されると同時に、「JAXAリポジトリ」（http://repository.tksc.jaxa.jp）からオンラインで参照可能になります（昨年度のシンポジウム収録を中心とした論文誌第一号は年度内に発行予定です）。日時: 平成 24 年 2 月 15 日 (水) 10:00-18:00 (終了時刻は予定) 場所: 宇宙航空研究開発機構宇宙科学研究所　(神奈川県相模原市中央区由野台3-1-1) 　研究管理棟 (新 A 棟) 2 F 会議室A 講演・発表をご希望の方は * 発表タイトル * 発表者名 * 所属・連絡先 * 口頭発表、ポスター発表の希望 * 旅費希望の有無を plainsympo AT c-soda.isas.jaxa.jp 宛に電子メールでお申し込み下さい。なおプログラムの作成上、発表申し込みの締切は平成24年1月27日 (金) までとさせて頂きます。多くの方々からの発表申し込みをお待ちしています。ご参考までに、過去の宇宙科学情報解析シンポジウムについては、 http://c-soda.isas.jaxa.jp/sympo/ をご覧ください。お問い合わせは plainsympo AT c-soda.isas.jaxa.jp までお願い致します。世話人：海老沢　研、篠原　育、三浦　昭、山本　幸生 (宇宙科学情報解析研究系) ---------- 海老沢　研 JAXA/宇宙科学研究所 tel/fax 050-3362-2823/042-759-8768
