Paper Submission:
The conference will accept regular papers (6 pages), short papers (4 pages), and demo papers (4 pages), with additional one-page references. Authors are encouraged to compare their approaches, qualitatively or quantitatively, with existing work and explain the strengths and weaknesses of the new approaches. The CMT online submission site is at https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/MIPR2025. All accepted papers presented in MIPR 2025 will be published in the conference proceedings which will also be available online at the IEEE Xplore digital library.

JapanVis is a new international-domestic-hybrid symposium administered
by Visualization Society of Japan, that solicits research contributions
in all areas of computer visualization such as information visualization,
scientific visualization, visual analytics, and visualization
applications. The first day of the symposium organizes international
paper sessions in conjunction with Journal of Visualization
(JoV: https://www.springer.com/journal/12650/).
SCOPE
The scope of the international paper sessions follows the scope of Journal
of Visualization (https://www.springer.com/journal/12650/aims-and-scope).
Submissions need to include an exhaustive survey of related work published
by computer visualization journals and conferences.
REVIEW PROCESS
Submissions of the international paper sessions are reviewed by the international
program committee of the symposium. Excellent submissions are accepted as
journal-track papers and will be published by Journal of Visualization after
a quick review process. Other submissions are accepted as non-archival
conference papers if they fit the scope of the symposium.
Conference papers are strongly recommended to be submitted to Journal of
Visualization after carefully revising according to review comments.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINE
Submissions must follow the guideline of Journal of Visualization

Human Activity Recognition has been researched in thousands of papers so
far, with mobile / environmental sensors in ubiquitous / pervasive domains,
and with cameras in vision domains. As well, Human Behavior Analysis is
also explored for long-term health care, rehabilitation, emotion
recognition, human interaction, and so on. However, many research
challenges remain for realistic settings, such as complex and ambiguous
activities / behavior, optimal sensor combinations, (deep) machine
learning, data collection, platform systems, and killer applications.
In this conference, we comprehend such research domains as ABC: Activity
and Behavior Computing, and provide an open and a confluent place for

共同研究課題として採択されることで、以下のようなメリットがあります。
(1) 北海道大学、東北大学、東京大学、東京科学大学、名古屋大学、京都大学、大阪大学、九州大学が個別に提供する大型計算資源(バッチ型・対話型計算機、ストレージ、ネットワーク、可視化装置など)、データ活用社会創成プラットフォーム「mdx」を、採択時に認められた範囲で無償利用することができます。
(2) 各拠点に在籍する先導的研究者を共同研究者とする研究体制の構築がサポートされます。また、年次シンポジウムでの発表・参加を通して人的ネットワークの拡充を図ることができます。
(3) 採択年度および翌年度において、国際会議の発表旅費、論文掲載料や研究集会(ワークショップ等)の会場利用料の経費助成を受けられる場合があります。

The advantages of being selected as a joint research are as follows.
(1) Hokkaido University, Tohoku University, University of Tokyo,
Institute of Science Tokyo, Nagoya University, Kyoto University,Osaka
University, and Kyushu University provide computing resources (batch
and interactive computers, storage, networks, visualization devices,
etc.) and the "mdx: a platform for building data-empowered society"
free of charge to the extent approved.
(2) Establishment of a research system with leading researchers
enrolled at each center as co-researchers will be supported. In
addition, the program will help to expand the human network through
presentations and participation in the annual symposium.
(3) In the fiscal year of the grant and the following year, travel
expenses for presentations at international conferences, publication
fees for papers, and venue usage fees for research meetings
(workshops, etc.) may be supported by the grant.
The research period is one year (April 2025 - March 2026).
A briefing session will be held online on November 29 (from 1:30 p.m.).
An overview of the program will be provided, followed by a Q&A
