日本データベース学会の皆様 ACM SIGMOD日本支部の皆様 ☆☆ＩＣＤＥ２００５ Call for Demonstrationsのご案内☆☆ 近年のデータベース関連の国際会議ではすっかりおなじみになりました デモセッションのご案内です。 先週、パリにて開催されましたＳＩＧＭＯＤ２００４でも、 デモセッションがリサーチセッションをも上回る盛況を呈しており、 多くの研究者との間で丁寧なディスカッションが行われており、 MicrosoftのPaul Larsonもデモで説明をしていました。 ICDE2005のデモセッションでは、以下のようになっております。 ☆日本開催のため、デモ準備が容易 ☆多くの海外のデータベース研究者とディスカッションが可能 ☆デモ内容は予稿集に収録予定 ☆デモ会場にＬＡＮを準備予定 日本からの多くのデモのご発表をいただきたく、投稿締切が◎７月１日◎となって おりますので、ご案内いたします。デモセッションへの投稿のご検討を よろしくお願いいたします。 ＩＣＤＥ２００５事務局 東大生研 中野 美由紀 ICDE2005 HomePage http://icde2005.is.tsukuba.ac.jp/ http://icde2005.naist.jp/ (mirror) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The 21st International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE 2005) Call for Demonstrations Proposals for research prototype demonstration should focus on new data engineering technology, novel data engineering applications, advances in database systems. All demonstration submissions must be within four pages in IEEE proceeding style (double-columned pages) and should provide a short description of the demonstrated system, a summary of its novel characteristics, the list of functions and features that are going to be demonstrated, and state the significance of the contribution to database technology, applications, or data engineering techniques. The selection criteria used for demonstration proposals include the novelty, the technical quality, and the attractiveness of the demonstrated system. All demonstration proposals should be submitted electronically by July 1 (THU), 2004 to the Demonstration co-Chairs and the notification date is September 13 (MON), 2004 (the same as the submission date and notification date of research papers). Thus, the management of privacy sensitive information is a very critical and important for every organization. This poses several challenging problems, such as how to translate the high-level business goals into system-level privacy policies, administration of privacy sensitive data, privacy data integration and engineering, privacy access control mechanism, information-oriented security, query execution on privacy sensitive data for partial answers. The aim of this workshop is to discuss and exchange the ideas related to privacy data management. We invite papers from researchers and practitioners working in privacy, security, trustworthy data systems and related areas to submit their original papers in this workshop. The format of the electronic copy can be Postscript, Word, or PDF. Detailed formatting instructions from IEEE can be found at: http://computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm. Submissions are limited to ten pages in the specified format. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. Authors are required to submit papers via email to Mukesh Mohania (mkmukesh@in.ibm.com). We plan to prepare an informal hardcopy of the proceedings available on-site during the workshop, and to publish formal electronic post-workshop proceeding by IEEE CS Press. That is, the papers will be included in the digital library of IEEE CS.
