Dear Fellow Researchers,

The deadline for submission (Dec. 15) is approaching fast. Inspite of the Xmas stress and other activities consider submitting your dissertation. Every single dissertation - in principle -  is unique and a great piece of work and so has the chance of being the awarded one.

In summary, everybody who has successfully finished an excellent dissertation in the database field since last September (2004) is invited to submit her/his work to me

in my role as current chair of the award committee. 

The deadline is December 15, 2005. 

It is only a small effort for you - much more for the award committee - to participate in this competition.
